How to manage injuries in female football players

Are you looking to take your career in sports injury management to the next level?

In this edition of Sports Tomorrow Congress, Medicine and Physiotherapy join into one interrelated track to focus on personalized treatments and strategies for female and male athletes for two days. This innovative space will allow you to be a driver of change in the management of sports injuries as well as being able to exchange and learn from new ideas.

To start off the day enjoy an opening ceremony with top doctors from the FC Barcelona medical team, such as Dr. Gil Rodas, Head of Health & Wellness at Barça Innovation Hub.

Topics explored in the Medicine-Physiotherapy track include:

  • How to manage injuries in female footballers: The FC Barcelona approach. Exploring the female physiology: hormonal profiles, the impact of menstrual cycle and oral contraceptives.
  • Prevention and management of injuries in female footballers: including conservative and surgical management of ACL deficient knees.
  • Muscle and tendon injuries in female football.
  • Medical management of young, developing female football players.
